Wallpaper is a great option for adding style and character, especially in bedrooms and living areas. However, due to Hong Kong’s humid climate, proper wall treatment (anti-mold sealer) and good ventilation are essential to ensure durability.

Pros:
• Aesthetic variety – Wide range of designs, textures, and finishes that can instantly elevate a space.
• Fast transformation – Quicker to install compared to repainting multiple coats.
• Covers imperfections – Helps conceal minor wall defects or uneven surfaces.
• Feature walls – Great for creating accent walls without major renovation.
• Premium look – Certain wallpapers (e.g., textured or fabric-backed) give a more high-end finish than paint.
Cons:
• Humidity issues – Hong Kong’s high humidity can cause peeling, bubbling, or mold if not properly installed or ventilated.
• Maintenance – More delicate than paint; difficult to clean and can stain or tear easily.
• Replacement cost – Damaged sections often need full panel replacement, which can be costly.
• Installation quality matters – Poor installation can lead to visible seams or early damage.
• Limited lifespan in some areas – Not ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, or poorly ventilated spaces.
