由2010年12月 31日開始，「小型工程監管制度」已全面實施。在新制度下，每項小型工程會以其規模、複雜程度和安全風險，劃分為三個級別。無論是以個人或是公司名義進行小型工程，都必須委任合資格「訂明註冊承建商」及/或「訂明建築專業人士」為工程進行檢核，並於工程完成後14 天內向屋宇署提交相關文件或訂明圖則。

g from 31 December 2010, the "Minor Works Control System" has been fully implemented. Under the new system, each minor work will be divided into three levels based on its scale, complexity and safety risk. Regardless of whether the minor works are carried out in the name of an individual or a company, a qualified "Prescribed Registered Contractor (PRC)" and/or "Prescribed Building Professional (PBP)" must be appointed to carry out such minor works, and the relevant documents or prescribed plans must be submitted to the Buildings Department within 14 days after the completion of the minor work.
