Lenovo & WildFaces help HK SWD prevent child abuse
The Social Welfare Department (SWD) of the Hong Kong government had determined that child care organizations needed to do more to detect & prevent child abuse in their facilities. Significant funding support was offered to these organizations for this purpose.

However, Child Abuse detection is not easy. One cannot easily apply traditional deep learning as the training required would be endless for different camera angles & different abusive styles that can be very personal.

WildFaces used its "Intuitive AI" capability that requires a minimal dataset to train its system to put together a solution to this problem, that is now being used in several major child care centres in Hong Kong. The solution runs on Lenovo computers without the requirement for power-hungry GPUs making these systems more adaptable & able to utilize their multi-purpose storage room to place the computing equipment.

Lenovo & WildFaces are worldwide partners, offering joint solutions for difficult customer problems.

Avoiding the cancer of False Alarms
The most significant challenge with any sensor based analytics system is the false alarm rate.

Does one have to sacrifice the accuracy of the system to minimize false alarms?

Every iOmniscient system is armed with an AI module called NAMS (Nuisance Alarm Minimization System). It understands what is a real alarm and differentiates it from extraneous noise.

In a recent trial, six companies were asked to deliver a particular solution. It was a complex environment but all could deliver the alarms required with a 100% accuracy. However, over the seven-day trial involving 15 cameras, the iOmniscient system generated one false alarm. The second best system generated 200 false alarms per camera day.

This is what makes iOmniscient systems stand out in the ocean of AI based analytics companies that have sprung up in recent times.

The Nipah Virus…being prepared for the next pandemic
It has been widely reported that a new virus, named Nipah, has been identified in India. It has a very high fatality rate and there is no vaccine for it yet. Airport in South East Asia are already on high alert as one infected person entering the country could set off a new pandemic.

Does this mean that we have to go back to having multiple doormen with individual thermal cameras checking people for infection as they enter their work places? Does it mean that, yet again, every resident of an aged care facility needs to be checked before they enter the dining room?

That won't be necessary. WildFaces' IQ-FeverCheck system, which proved so effective during the COVID pandemic, is still available. It can detect the temperatures of infected people at long distances in a crowded environment and make authorities aware of their presence.

We have it NOW. Be prepared and make sure your work environment is safe.

WildFaces successfully deployed complex behavioural detection AI using NO Deep Learning NO GPU "Intuitive AI" approach

Child abuse at child care centers has become a major issue around the world. It is very complex to detect as it can happen in so many different ways.

WildFaces has now successfully delivered a child abuse detection system across three of the largest child care chains in Asia. The systems involved its multi-sensory capability involving video and sound analytics to understand if any child was suffering abuse at the hands of a carer.

The system demonstrated the strength of WildFaces’ Intuitive AI capability that does not require Deep Learning and Large Language models. In fact, at most 5 data sets were required by its Quick Training Engine to model each type of abusive behaviour significantly reducing the time and costs for labelling and training the system. No GPUs were required because of the minimal number of data sets required. This significantly reduced the costs of the systems themselves as well as the power consumed at each of these centers.

NO Deep Learning required for understanding complex behaviours.
The challenge with using AI pre-empting suicides or abusive behaviors is that there is just no data available to train the system. How can one get 50,000 actors to stage suicides in Prison or abusive behaviors in an aged care facility just to collect the data required to train the AI model? However, WildFaces have solved this and other similar problems for the Hong Kong Prisons and other organizations using its unique Intuitive AI technology.

The system is also powered by an internationally patented Agentic AI capability called ASAP. When there is an incident, the system will automatically find the nearest appropriate responder and tell them where to go and what to do.

Understanding Precise Location of Objects when seen on Moving cameras
To date it has been impossible to determine the exact location of objects in the scene of a camera that is moving. If the camera is fixed and its GPS location is known then one can determine the location of any object in a wider scene (> 5-meter). But if the camera is moving and its own GPS location keeps changing, it becomes very difficult to determine the exact location of the object which may be required, for instance, to advise the police about the location of an accident.

WildFaces has now developed the technology to “calculate” the exact GPS location of an object even if the camera’s own GPS location is unknown. This internationally patented capability has been used to predict congestion before it happens so drivers can be re-routed early on. WildFaces’ On-The-Move mapping technology can further overcome the limitations of Traditional GPS excelling indoors or in a confined space.

WildFaces’ partnership with Intel strengthens at CES
CES in Las Vegas has been a flagship event to showcase latest technologies. Intel had a huge presence there. WildFaces is delighted to have been invited by Intel to participate on their Agentic AI Panel. This session attracted a full house and many stayed behind asking the question of how WildFaces’ “Intuitive AI” can build AI Models quickly and cost effectively without the need of power-hungry GPU cards.
