These results reflect the consistent research efforts and academic contributions of AMA scholars. This ranking recognizes our department’s impact on the global scientific community. On May 9, 2026, AMA International Workshop on Numerical Methods and Scientific Computing successfully concluded with over 120 researchers, academics, and research students in attendance. Renowned scholars from around the world gathered to present recent findings and discuss cutting-edge topics in computational techniques and engineering applications.

This 4-day event provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and fostering new research collaborations. Thank you to all our participants and speakers for contributing to a successful exchange of knowledge. 🤝💻

🎉 恭喜AMA學生榮獲領袖及卓越表現殊榮！Congratulations to AMA Students Being Honoured for Leadership & Excellence! 🎉

「卓越學生獎和校長學生領袖獎頒獎典禮2025/26」日前（3月19日）假唯港薈圓滿舉辦，包括兩位AMA同學在內，本年度共有57位理大學生獲表揚其卓越表現。

🏆 甄佑臻同學 — 學院學生領袖獎 （左3）
甄同學（Reg）就讀「投資科學及金融分析（榮譽）理學士、副主修AIDA」二年級， 亦是AMA兩屆學生會的骨幹成員，為學系及同學服務；課外Reg參與聖約翰救傷隊少青團，熱心參與社區義工服務，確是實至名歸！

🏅 謝夢雨同學 — 應用數學系傑出學生獎 （後排右三）
謝同學是「投資科學及金融分析（榮譽）理學士」四年級學生，憑藉勤勉篤行與優異成績，獲選系內傑出學生獎項。

Congratulations to Mr. Reg Yan, Year 2 BSc (Hons) Investment Science and Finance Analytics with Secondary Major in AIDA, for receiving the Faculty Student Leadership Award! Reg is not only a dedicated leader in the AMA Student Association but also an active community volunteer. Well done, Reg!

🏅 Outstanding Student Award – Department of Applied Mathematics

Miss Xie Mengyu, a final-year BSc (Hons) Investment Science and Finance Analytics student, has been selected as the AMA Outstanding Student Award recipient! Mengyu’s hard work and commitment truly shine.

Both awards were presented at the Outstanding Student Award & Presidential Student Leadership Award Ceremony 2025/26 at Hotel ICON, where 57 PolyU students were recognised for their excellence.
