Singapore sling on cultivated meat? Top notch cell-cultivated meat production appears to be the future for meat production with less polluting and smaller environmental foot print, without necessary slaughtering, hormones, antibiotics.

However, for doing so in a sterile environment, clean steam supply is needed. In Singapore one of the first of such facilities started production after successfully supply, installation and T&C, using 2 nos. of CERTUSS rapid steam generators with an output of 1400kg/h in very dynamic and efficient supply as a complete, pre-factory assembled package and include of water treatment, feed water tank, feed water pumps, control panels, all auxiliary equipment and intermediate pipe connections and wiring - it minimises significantly installation time, costs and errors. On the end it also ensures higher reliability and durability as all equipment and installation details and methods matches just perfectly.

Probably very exciting how food production and fine dining will develop in the future, anyhow we are ready for tailor made solutions of steam supply in any requirements, condition or quality. For a challenging future.

Just another hot water boiler installation, consisting of 4 nos. BOSCH Unimat boiler in 3-pass design, ultra-low NOx package burners and stainless steel chimney system at a large Macau Casino and Entertainment project.

The advantage of the boiler design is an energy-saving, efficient and reliable operation at low return water temperatures of down to 50°C, the lowest for conventional boilers. A challenge here was the low NOx emission requirements of 56mg/ kWh for BREEAM certification, which are somehow unique in this region yet.

To achieve such values, we chose a burner equipped with FGR/ Rezi and the result was excellent, even 33% lower than the limits required. Not really unusual, but these were achieved with the FGR not running at all, as the boiler design is ideal for low NOx requirements thanks to the overall larger furnace.

Anyway, the Unimat design, although since decades on the market, is still one of the best as it achieves the lowest emissions and runs efficiently and safely even at the lowest return temperatures without the need for auxiliary equipment.

Go green, go clean. Just another CERTUSS steam boiler project realised. Electric steam generators are both an opportunity and a challenge for decarbonized and emission-free steam generation. Along with these are other advantages, as there is no need for fuel supply by pipe installation or storage tank, and no exhaust and emissions to be routed out of the building through a chimney system.

However a major hurdle is often a limited electrical power supply in existing, but also in new buildings and systems for larger steam demands and supply. To have the best solution here, a detailed and precise evaluation about the dynamic short- and long-term steam demand is required. To overcome power supply limitations on the one hand and high peak steam loads on the other, a tailor-made sized steam accumulator is very helpful to master the fiddle situation.

GAS TECH has here designed, supplied and installed a complete steam system include 2 nos. of CERTUSS electrical steam generators and a tailor-made Ruth type steam accumulator for supplying sufficient steam in high quality to autoclaves with very high dynamic steam requirements but limited electric power supply.

CERTUSS electric steam boilers in modular design and all pre-assembled and direct attached auxiliary equipment:

A cascade arrangement just side by side, from water softener unit, blow down vessel, drain water cooling, feed water tanks, feed water pipe distribution, chemical dosing, condensate collection - the everything include and ready to operate boiler system - with very small foot print and no need for fuel supply or fuel storage nor environmental authority approvals, no chimney system required through a whole building - an easy to plan and install solutions for the smaller steam supply. Extremely efficient operation and maintenance as decentralised steam supply e.g. in hospitality and catering industry in contrast to a single but larger steam generator with their long steam distribution and difficult to handle condensate recovery. Standard anyhow in many pharmaceutical, laboratory and hospital applications.

Go green - steam supply without emissions - here we supplied and installed a 480kg/h steam boiler system for Hong Kong's first commercial plastic bottle recycling plant.

A little unloading job has finished - 3 nos. of 40ft high cube container have arrived with exactly 2000 pieces of PV panels, each with 440Wp STC in bifacial dual glass design for our car park canopy re-arrangement, design & build project. The total equivalent array area of collectors is 4355m² or 46877ft². The total maximum recovered power could reach 880000Wp or 880kWp. Not the smallest PV project in town.

Back to the roots - not so fancy but sometimes essential: Although it wasn't the fondest memory of doing a service on a "Dampf Fix", I didn't find it beneath me to do it again once personal in supervision and action: Preventive field service includes chemical acid cleaning on CERTUSS steam generators. Yay - we can use tools too!

Having said that I would mention some advantages of a rapid steam generator towards a fire tube boiler: With their vertical, mono heating coil and super light design it's a pleasure for bringing in and installing on existing or new locations without the hassle of complicated case studies and structural load calculations. The very small footprint is in favour of all non-property kings and queens, replacement or extension jobs. As usual a 1:1 or 2:1 duty-standby arrangement for backup is required, the big saving just starts from the first operation: ZERO costs and emissions on standby operation by radiation loss or fuel consumption. Just turn on if needed, after 3 minutes 100% steam supply is available.

Another real life advantage is the annual boiler inspection of the boiler fitness: Days long interruption for cooling down, draining, internal inspection, acid cleaning, refilling, replacing plenty of gaskets - having no or only limited steam supply for days? Nola. For scale and deposits are checked instantly all time during operation through saturated steam temperature, no internal inspection, acid cleaning eventually within a day, the boiler inspection within minutes, then: Ready, steady, go.
