Marking the 170th anniversary of Nikola Teslaโ€™s birth, an educational workshop โ€œ๐‘ญ๐’“๐’๐’Ž ๐‘ท๐’‰๐’๐’•๐’๐’ ๐’•๐’ ๐‘ฌ๐’๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’“๐’Š๐’„๐’Š๐’•๐’šโ€ was held during Book Night at Saloฤa od zrcala, Dubrovnik City Library, led by dr. sc. Dinka Lale.

Students explored the basics of electricity, built simple circuits, and even generated their own power using a dynamo. The highlight was testing solar panelsโ€”simulating sunlight and measuring voltage changes to understand how renewable energy works.

The theme of the 2026 Science Festival is ๐„๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ, highlighting its importance in our everyday lives and future development. During the workshop, Dinka presented the principles of nuclear power plant operation, with special focus on key features of the Krลกko Nuclear Power Plant. Nora introduced the concept of photovoltaic voltage and explained how it is generated in solar cells.

Students then took part in a hands-on practical session, working with photovoltaic panels. They measured voltage changes as a function of the angle of incoming light, variations in radiation intensity, and the level of panel shading. Using multimeters and a lux meter, they recorded and analyzed their measurements, organized the data into tables, and created graphical representations of their results.

It was a valuable opportunity for students to connect theory with real-world applications of energy transformation.

LARIAT had the pleasure of welcoming students from Elementary School ลฝupa Dubrovnik on Saturday for an exciting and educational visit.

Students from 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade explored the fascinating world of autonomous robotics with the help of LARIAT team members Ivana, Vicko, and Ante.

Throughout the morning, they learned how robots work, tested their skills by operating a drone simulator, navigated an underwater robot on a mission to place a plastic bottle into a recycling bin, and discovered how drone thermal cameras function.

It was a day filled with curiosity, learning, and lots of fun!

Yesterday LARIAT's researchers conducted preliminary tests at Bistrina as part of SeaClear1 & 2.0 project.

It was a beautiful day, perfect for fieldwork, and the team carried out the additional tests with full energy and dedication. The positive weather made it an ideal setting to gather accurate data and enjoy the dynamic marine environment.
