A quick follow-up to yesterday’s Lieutenant post 👀⚡

Just to clarify:
The mains power cables are NOT connected to the remote unit. 🔌❌

The Lieutenant system consists of:
• a Main Unit 🎛️
• and a Remote Unit 🎚️

The Main Unit usually sits in the lowest rack slot and handles all the actual connections and power management. Everything connects there. 🔧⚡

The Remote Unit is simply used to control the system remotely from your desk or sweet spot. 🎶🖥️

Clean setup, safer startup sequence, and much more convenient studio workflow. ✨

A lot of you have been asking about the Lieutenant’s Power Sequencer feature 👀⚡

So what does it actually do?

The monitor controller can manage three separate power circuits, either automatically or manually. 🎛️🔌

That means you can:
• Prevent loud “pops” from your audio interface reaching your monitor speakers during boot-up 🔊🚫
• Power your studio gear on/off in the correct order automatically 🤖
• Manually switch side racks or outboard gear that you do not always need 🎚️⚙️

A small feature that can make a huge difference in everyday studio workflow. 🎶✨

“Governor is a dual slope optical compressor that I’m using as the very first insert on my mix bus. It delivers a beautiful, gentle squeeze but can also get quite aggressive when needed.

I’m mainly using the auto attack/release mode together with the full tube boost function, which adds a bit more grind and level.

What this compressor does is honestly insane: super smooth, polished, and it instantly feels like a finished record.”

With the Wizard Tube Saturator, if you want to saturate the mid band, you don’t have to rely only on boosting the built-in EQ’s mid frequencies. 🎛️🔥

You can also achieve it by cutting the low and high bands simultaneously. There’s plenty of gain reserve available, and the final tone becomes completely different compared to using only the mid band boost. 🎚️✨

This technique can create especially interesting textures with complex-spectrum source material that’s already overdriven or distorted like guitars. 🎸⚡
Combined with a cold bias setting, the result can become incredibly characterful, gritty, and unique. 🧪🔥
