It’s becoming quite common nowadays for people to come to us with AI generated images and ask us to turn them into a real piece of jewelry. This ring was one of them.

To get a similar look, we created the design in 3D CAD and made some adjustments to the band based on our client’s request. We used an opaque tinted enamel compound to add color to the flower petals while keeping the existing texture visible. The design finally complete with a round cut citrine stone added at the center of the flower.

So, did we pass the AI challenge?

Engraving can be used in many different ways when making jewelry. Often used to show authenticity through a hallmark or brand logo. Other times, it’s used to add a personal touch with a name or special date, especially on custom pieces... and sometimes it is simply part of the design.

Our studio offers full engraving services. It is always fun and interesting when we get to engrave a unique message on a piece, or even a shape that our client has drawn themselves. Depending on the design and the thickness of the piece, we have two ways of engraving, either on the master, which will then be in the mold, or directly on the finished piece, allowing for a finer engraving, yet done on each piece one at a time.

Colorful and lively designs are always fun to make. An exciting way to use semi-precious stones, where the colors and shapes closely match our client’s brand personality. Each stone was carefully set by hand by our master stone setter before the whole piece was polished to bring out the luster and sparkle of the silver and the stones combined.

We are excited to be able to share with you you one of our more complex wax carving projects as of late featuring an object we only tackle every so often when the request comes in - a lighter case, and this one with a Hydra motif!

This project involved so many intricate details, from the hydra’s facial expressions and skin texture to the shape of its body, all fully hand carved by our master carver. It took quite a while to get everything right, but seeing the finished piece and our client’s HYDRA WEARABLE ART. happy feedback made all the time and effort worth it.

Another Native American style belt buckle added to our wax carving series and hand carved by our master carver.

This design features the well used open center that lets the belt show through its window, framed by two oval stones on each side, often set with natural turquoise. The details are all carved directly into the wax, highlighting its organic Navajo origins with this replication of a traditional design.

Hear a collection of sounds from our wax and casting rooms as a new project starts .

Starting with the building of the wax tree, with that small, barely noticeable sound of melting wax. Then the sound of prepping the casting flask, the flasking machine running … the casting machine doing its thing and finally, the pressure wash process.

Turn up the volume and enjoy the process unfolding in our studio.

Not every rubber mold is the same.

Non-vulcanized silicone rubber, like the white silicone rubber we use, is ideal for fragile masters and designs that require minimal shrinkage because it cures at room temperature without heat or pressure.

The only challenge is that its light color reflects light, making the fine details harder to see during cutting. Of course, with our mold makers steady hands and years of experience, the result is a cleanly cut mold that captures every detail of this wing pendant, ready for production.

This approach works especially well when a design calls for precision, perfect symmetry, or intricate details. Starting with a digital design gives us the freedom to create pieces that would be difficult to make by hand, giving us more ways to turn your ideas into reality.

We use wax-based direct casting printers with a dissolvable support system created by the printer software, which means there are no support structures like those used by resin printers, allowing us to cast the pieces directly and produce extremely clean masters that are ready for detailing and molds!
