Through The Eyes of a Child
The installation explores how everyday lighting can move beyond its purely functional role. Inspired by the way children experience light as play and wonder, the project reflects on how we first learned to see the world. Drawing from childhood memories of kaleidoscopes, night lamps, and sensory light play, a circular immersive room transforms through shifting reflections, colors, and movement. A dark grey faรงade frames flickering and dimming lights, while inside, woven columns and a kinetic dichroic ceiling create evolving shadows and kaleidoscopic reflections.
Developed through the collaboration of architects, lighting designers, kinetic engineers, and craftsmen, the installation demonstrates how architecture can become a canvas, where light, motion, technology, and craftsmanship work together to turn a simple structure into a dynamic and immersive spatial experience.
