We had a fantastic evening at the ICE Awards last Thursday, celebrating being shortlisted for four awards across McKeon Group and Hereworks.

That recognition alone reflects the quality, collaboration and consistency being delivered across our teams.šŸ‘

The standard across the built environment continues to rise, and it was great to see such a strong calibre of projects and teams being recognised. The ICE Awards remain a benchmark for excellence across the industry.

Congratulations to all of the winners and finalists šŸ¾šŸ„‚šŸŽ‰

Great to get the Sales, Marketing and Bid teams across McKeon Group and Hereworks together yesterday for some well-earned downtime.

A brilliant day out at Incognito Escape Rooms and even better, we achieved a new PB, escaping Cabin in the Woods with 4:25 to spare!

Strong teamwork in and out of the office šŸ‘

Does anyone recognise the bar we ended up in afterwards? šŸ»

We’re really pleased to share our recent refurbishment project at Mount Juliet Manor House, one of Ireland’s leading five-star hospitality destinations.

Working within a historic Manor House of this calibre brings a unique set of challenges. Delivered over an accelerated 10-week programme, the project involved working within a protected structure alongside ongoing operations across the wider estate.

A key driver of the works was the full upgrade and replacement of the fire alarm system, requiring a complete rewire and careful coordination alongside high-end interior refurbishment.

Our team delivered the upgrade of 32 guest bedrooms, along with key spaces including the library corridor, morning room, Major’s Bar, Lady Helen parlour and dining room, and the Tetrarch lounge. Every element demanded a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail to respect the building’s heritage while delivering a contemporary five-star finish.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with FESP (Project Managers), PMEP (M&E Consultant), Knapton (Assigned Certifier), and Aisling Healy of O’Donnell O’Neill, whose interior design elegantly balanced heritage and modern luxury.

This project is a strong example of what can be achieved through careful planning, close collaboration and a shared focus on quality.

Last week marked a significant milestone at Lakeside Memorial Park, with the successful installation of the pedestrian bridge spanning the lake.

This critical path represents the culmination of months of detailed planning, design coordination and complex logistics, which marks a significant step forward in bringing this landmark feature to life.

More than a functional crossing, the bridge will play a defining role within the park, connecting spaces and creating a lasting point of reflection for visitors.

With this milestone achieved, works now progress towards the next phase, including the lakeside pavilion and car park, as the overall vision for the park continues to take shape.

A sincere thank you to all of the teams and partners whose expertise and collaboration made this possible: Kavanagh Crane Hire Ltd, Shay Murtagh Precast Ltd, DPPS Contracts Ltd, Venterra Group, Vincent Hannon | Architecture + Urbanism, Cundall.

Great to see such a strong turnout for Darkness Into Light this year šŸŒ…

It was fantastic to see so many of our team out taking part. From Laytown, where they enjoyed a beautiful sunrise walk along the beach and a well-earned sausage roll and coffee afterwards, to Phoenix Park.

A brilliant way to start a Saturday morning, "spending time with great people for a great cause that touches everyone", as one of our Directors, Aidan McEnroe, said in his own post.

When the clients miss you on site, you know you’ve done a great job.

This Deep Energy Retrofit project is a great example of what’s possible when collaboration, trust and technical expertise come together.

Delivered in a live environment, the project focused on significantly improving energy performance while futureproofing the building for long‑term sustainability. From decarbonisation measures to improving occupant comfort, this was about doing the right work, in the right way, with minimal disruption.

Huge credit to everyone involved for the teamwork, attention to detail and commitment shown throughout.

Projects like this prove that sustainability and performance can go hand in hand.

All work and no play makes for a pretty boring workplace, don’t you think?

At McKeon Group, our brilliant Social Committee had the excellent idea of hosting a retro games night last week, giving colleagues the chance to step away from the day job, connect outside of work and enjoy some light‑hearted (and very competitive!) fun together.

From Monopoly Cheaters to Articulate, there was plenty of fierce competition and raucous laughter throughout the evening. Safe to say, the laughs were so memorable that some of us are still feeling it today… particularly after witnessing some very questionable tactics at the Monopoly table (we won’t name namesšŸ˜‰).

A great reminder that strong teams are built not just on hard work and professionalism, but also on shared experiences, camaraderie and the joy of the journey together.

šŸ‘ to the Social Committee for a brilliant night.

Leadership at All Levels. One Team. One Direction.

On Friday, we brought our people together for All Hands Day 2026, a day to reflect, reset and look forward as one team.

From Ashbourne to London to Belgrade, our teams came together, some in the room, others joining virtually, all connected by a shared purpose.

With Leadership at All Levels as our theme, we celebrated our people and the incredible work they have delivered across Construction, 360Works and Hereworks.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, presented, asked questions, and brought the energy, and to Marie Gleeson for an inspiring and honest session on leadership, resilience, and teamwork. Our people shape the future we’re building, and days like this remind us just how strong that foundation is.
