Great to see First Milk's new water quality strategy featured this week in FarmingUK.

The initiative combines nutrient footprinting with Senus' satellite-led water risk mapping across 700 dairy farms, helping identify where nutrient pressures and landscape risks overlap so action can be targeted where it will have the greatest impact.

We're passionate about helping farmers and supply chains turn environmental data into practical insights. From water quality and nutrient management to carbon and wider sustainability outcomes, we believe better data supports better decisions.

We're proud to support First Milk on this innovative programme and look forward to seeing the benefits it delivers. Read the article to find out more.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us in London yesterday for our event on the future of environmental land-use reporting for financial institutions.

The discussion highlighted the growing importance of high-quality environmental data in supporting risk management, regulatory reporting, investment decisions, and sustainable finance. We were delighted to hear expert perspectives from across banking, research, and environmental data, and to facilitate a valuable exchange of ideas among attendees.

Thank you to our speakers and panellists, Eoin Lowry (Bank of Ireland), Richard Pywell (UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology - UKCEH)), and Stephen Coen and Hugh Sturrock, PhD (Senus), for sharing their expertise and insights.

We would also like to thank our event partners, Bank of Ireland and Enterprise Ireland, as well as everyone who contributed to the discussion throughout the morning.

We look forward to continuing the conversation as these topics become increasingly important considerations for financial institutions.

We’re pleased to welcome EticWood, a sustainability consultancy specialising in tropical forestry and agroforestry, as a client, supporting efforts to protect forest ecosystems and advance zero-deforestation supply chains.

EticWood will be using Senus’ deforestation monitoring algorithm to enhance environmental insight and strengthen visibility into land-use change.

As organisations continue to increase their focus on reliable and transparent sustainability data, geospatial monitoring technologies are playing an increasingly important role in understanding and responding to environmental change.

We’re excited to support the EticWood team and look forward to working together.

Environmental data is no longer just a reporting requirement. It's becoming a core input into how organisations across agriculture, finance, insurance, and infrastructure make decisions.

As climate risk, regulatory change, and ecological pressures converge, businesses are increasingly asking not whether environmental factors matter, but how to measure them accurately, monitor them continuously, and act on them in real time.

In our latest article, Imogen Turner, explores the rise of environmental intelligence and how soil health, biodiversity, and geospatial data are becoming central to decision-making across sectors.

The Climate Change Committee’s latest report, “A Well-Adapted UK”, reinforces something we see consistently across the industries we work in: adaptation starts with better environmental intelligence.

Building resilience to climate change means understanding the condition of our soils, habitats, water systems, and landscapes, and being able to measure change over time with real confidence in the data.

The report highlights that data, monitoring, and evidence-based decision making will play a central role in how governments, land managers, and industries respond to climate risk in the years ahead. At Senus, we’re focused on building tools that support better environmental decision-making on the ground.

Most environmental risks don’t appear overnight. They build quietly over time - in soil degradation, water stress, and biodiversity decline. The challenge is that the impact often goes unseen until it surfaces in operations, reporting, or costs.

Better environmental decisions start with better .

From soil health and biodiversity to climate and land-use risk, the ability to measure nature at scale is no longer just a compliance exercise. It's becoming a core part of operational and financial resilience. Organisations that invest in understanding environmental risk today will be far more resilient tomorrow.

At Senus, we help organisations turn environmental data into clearer, more actionable insight so they can make better decisions earlier. Contact us for more information at www.senus.com. đź”—

Our Co-Founder & Managing Director Brendan Allen was delighted to speak at 2026 at the University of Galway yesterday.

During his lightning talk session, Brendan explored the rapid evolution of engineering tools, highlighted the importance of sustainability and natural capital, and discussed the widening gap between invention and adoption in today’s fast-moving technology landscape.

A key insight from Brendan that resonated with attendees was: “Those that commercialise better - not invent better - will win the race.”
