Blackwell Energy recently installed a 40kWp system at Bloom House, Dublin 1.

The Dublin city centre office block is home to OPW and The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC)

Although a logistically difficult site to work on due to the building height and limited access, the project was completed on time and within the clients’ budget.

Another winning performance in Castlebar! 💚❤️🏆

Some great progress during week 1 , installing the first 100 houses at Dunboyne, Co Meath.

Bennetstown will provide 578 A-rated new homes, ranging from 2 to 4 bedroom homes, apartments and duplexes. With proximity to the M3 motorway and M3 Parkway rail station the development is being built by Glenveagh Homes.

Another bespoke solar installation completed by Blackwell Energy.

This project features a 46-panel Solar PV system, combining 22-panel ground-mounted array using a bifacial panel which will generate solar from both the front and back of the panel. The design also includes
24 roof-mounted panels, strategically split across the east and west roof pitches to optimise energy generation throughout the day.

The client also wanted to store as much electricity as possible for evening and night time consumption so we installed 40kWh of battery storage. The battery storage system is programmed to top up at night from the grid on a low cost EV rate.

Every site is different, and this installation demonstrates how a tailored design can make the most of every available surface, helping the customer reduce electricity costs, lower carbon emissions, and improve long-term energy independence.

Another commercial installation by Blackwell Energy at Realm Packaging, Swords.

This 60kWp system includes a 130-panel system with panels on both east and west facing pitches ensuring the client will generate their own green electricity from sunrise to sunset and see a significant saving on their energy bills.

We used the Kingspan Powerail mounting system, which is a purpose-designed mounting rail that allows solar PV systems to be fixed securely to Kingspan insulated roof panels without compromising the roof’s structural integrity or weatherproofing.

Powerail transfers these forces into the structural purlins beneath the insulated panel rather than loading the outer steel skin, which isn’t designed to carry concentrated loads.
