We’ve had requests for a magnetic grinding station using our MBX magnetic clamping blocks. The brief was simple

1. It must be fast to turn on and off for deburring volume parts.
2. It must protect the MBX from the grinder.
3. It should be big enough to balance large parts.

So we have built a little prototype and we’re really happy with the results. This isn’t yet a “for sale” version but if there was enough demand for something like this we would take it to the next step.

A very common question we get asked is “what’s the biggest table you sell” the short answer is that in system 16 and system 22 we can go up to a 4000mm x 2000mm table and in a system 28 we can go to a 4800mm x 2400mm table. But in reality there isn’t any limitation. There are solutions for every application and many of our customers will join tables to create larger work surfaces as required. Other solutions include the platform system which is a large modular configuration of tables on low profile legs which create a floor to build on rather than a table as such. Another scalable solution is the rail system which utilises a special variant of table that can mount on and move on a system of rails which are set on or in the floor. The beauty of the rail system is that tables can easily be moved together for large assemblies and separated to create individual working tables. You might know .welding as the leader in welding tables for manufacturing, but the use cases for Siegmund tables go so much further. Case in point: A motorsport application where a solid back axle needs to be modified for a high powered Toyota AE86 Corolla, the straight axle has to be modified to provide a toe in geometry. It’s very important to be able to setup, measure, cut, press, and weld the axle in a uniform and consistent way. Using the Siegmund table provides a perfect reference surface, a means to mount and hold the axle in any orientation and with the Siegmund hydraulic table press the axle can be pushed in the direction of modification with sub millimetre precision.
