At MDS, there's been great excitement around this competition and all the fantastic content we've received so far. Our suppliers were keen to get involved too, and as we opened the competition to them a little later, we felt it was only fair to give everyone some extra time to submit their entries.

It was great to follow this year's Hillhead Show display machine from our manufacturing facility, to Hillhead 2026, and finally into operation at PR Bates.

The M300 is processing mixed aggregate, removing oversize and fine material to create a valuable recycled product. By recovering material that might otherwise go to landfill, it's helping turn waste into a resource while reducing reliance on virgin aggregates.

We're looking forward to sharing the next chapter of the story, hearing from Red Knight 6 Ltd and PR Bates Services about their experience with the MDS M300 and the impact it's making on site.

Manufacturing is evolving, and so is the face of our industry.

We're delighted to welcome Lynda Moore and Rebecca Brady to the MDS team. Already working closely with our production teams on the workshop floor, they're helping to strengthen the quality, safety and continuous improvement culture that drives everything we do.

Their arrival is another positive step forward as we continue to encourage more women to build rewarding careers in manufacturing, engineering and construction.

Check out the MDS M412 Heavy Duty Trommel in action on a road construction project in Germany.

Working alongside a busy motorway, the MDS M412 separated clay material from rock at 75mm, helping produce a clean 75mm+ oversize product that was sent to a crusher for road base production.

Its tracked design allowed the machine to be easily moved into position and quickly set up on site, making it ideally suited to infrastructure projects where flexibility and efficiency were critical.

By removing the 75mm minus material before crushing, the operation was able to increase production while reducing unnecessary wear on the crusher.

Last week we launched our Be Part of the Action campaign, asking MDS customers to share their favourite videos of MDS equipment at work for the chance to win a drone.

It's been great to see the entries coming in already, and there's been some fantastic footage submitted. One that really caught our eye was this absolute fireball featuring a M412 and an M413, sent in by Denis from , our dealer in Germany.
