A Building Energy Rating or BER is similar to the energy label on your
fridge with a scale of A-G. A-rated homes are the most energy efficient
and G the least efficient. From 1st January 2009, a BER certificate became compulsory for all
homes being sold or offered for rent. If you are buying or about to
rent a house or apartment now, you are entitled to a BER – so ask the
seller/landlord or their agent for it.

There has been a massive surge in calls for BERs this week. I think people are finally realizing they MUST have them for renting or putting a house on the market....

Hi all,
Please keep me in mind if you have hear of anyone needing a BER on their house. If you are renting or buying - you must insist the house has one.
