Global temperature rising and E bike .
Too hot for an E bike ?
Extreme heat accelerates the chemical aging of lithium-ion e-bike batteries, leading to permanent capacity loss. Riding or storing a battery in temperatures above \(35^{\circ }\text{C}\) (\(95^{\circ }\text{F}\)) stresses internal components. Left unprotected in a heat wave, a battery can suffer from reduced range, degraded lifespan, or in extreme cases, thermal runaway.
How much of an impact does extreme hot or cold affect an eBike? Can the batteries handle the increasingly high summer temperatures? Lithium Ion batteries hav...
