Last month, Bennett team members came together for our Annual Bennett Seminar in Mullingar.
The morning featured valuable contributions from our own team, including reflections on recent project experiences, key learnings, and discussions around safety and sustainability.
A particular highlight was recognising Cathal, who recently graduated from the QS Earn as You Learn programme, and we celebrated team members who have been part of Bennett for over 20 years. These milestones are a fantastic reflection of the experience, commitment, and loyalty within the company.

We were also pleased to welcome guest speakers from Connex Offsite who shared insights on bathroom pod off site solutions, National Biodiversity Data Centre shared on insights on supporting biodiversity and INET Computer Solutions who spoke about AI in the workplace.

A sincere thank you to all of our speakers for sharing their time and expertise, and to everyone who attended and contributed to such an engaging morning.

This World Environment Day, the message is clear: climate action needs a response from all of us.
At Bennett, we recognise the role construction has to play in reducing emissions, improving resource efficiency, and helping to build a more sustainable future.
This year, we are responding through action:
• Beginning our EV fleet transition and installing solar power at Head Office
• Rolling out food waste management initiatives across all of our operations
• Preparing to publish our Sustainability Strategy and Roadmap to 2030
• Introducing our 2026 Sustainability Training Plan for employees
Small everyday actions matter too, from using less energy and reducing food waste to making more thoughtful choices in our communities.

We recently celebrated Cultural Diversity Day bringing colleagues together across our offices and sites to recognise the different cultures represented within Bennett.
The celebrations included BBQs, language activities, cultural maps, and team members sharing home-cooked food, greetings, and insights into the history and traditions of their home countries.
Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to the day.

Yesterday we once again partnered with Shay Murtagh Group for a school visit to speak with students in Castlepollard CC about careers in construction.
It was a great opportunity to share what we do, answer questions, and give students an insight into the different roles and pathways within the industry.
Some of the students recently completed their Safepass through the Construction Industry Federation Safepass for Schools initiative, which is a great step towards gaining practical insight into the sector.

Thanks to Mr Caffrey and Castlepollard CC for having us, we look forward to welcoming you on site in the future!
