A fantastic day out for the ESI team at the Midleton Distillery! 🥃

It was a great opportunity to step away from the office, learn about Ireland's rich distilling heritage and enjoy some time together.

Ready for dispatch!

Two identical skids have been engineered and assembled by the ESI Technologies Group team for heating and cooling jacketed reactor vessels via a Vahterus shell and plate heat exchanger.

Key features include:
✅ Steam control via a Fisher GX control valve with a 6200 controller
✅ Jacket circlulation pumps a Goulds ICM-B
✅ 150kW heating duty with 2.5bar steam
✅ 92kW direct injection cooling with -25°C methanol/water which is also the jacket fluid
✅ Fully ATEX Exde IIB T4 compliant
✅ Digital and analogue junction boxes for site BMS integration
✅ Majority 316L SCH10 pipework with SCH40 carbon steel on the steam inlet
✅ 12mm T-Fit hygiene insulation with clad

It was a pleasure to see Eoin Field and John Scott share their expertise with students and industry professionals, covering the fundamentals of pump specification, sizing, and applications across the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Biotechnology sectors.

The session highlighted the importance of early engagement with pump suppliers and understanding onsite process conditions to ensure the right pump is selected for the job.

A big thank you to Engineers Ireland and MTU for the opportunity, and to everyone who joined us both in person and online.

And of course, after a successful session, Eoin and John enjoyed a well-deserved cup of tea! ☕ Thank you both for giving your time and sharing your knowledge.
