As we approach the second anniversary of Women at Dornan (W@D), we recently welcomed representatives from Turner Construction Company’s headquarters in New York to Dornan’s London office for a collaborative session with our W@D Leadership Team and committee members.

The session brought both teams together to share ideas, experiences and insights into our respective Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which play an important role in raising awareness, promoting education and empowering women to pursue and develop careers in the engineering and construction industry.

It was a great opportunity to strengthen the connection between Dornan and Turner, and we look forward to building on this collaboration with our Turner counterparts in the future.

Ahead of the Construction Industry Federation Construction Safety Campaign 2026, we kicked off our campaign activity last week with a MEWP safety demonstration from HSS at our site in Limerick.

The session focused on the safe use of MEWPs and the importance of reinforcing the fundamentals when working with equipment on site. This year's theme- 'Back to Basics' - puts the focus on getting the basics right every day, through safe behaviours, an understanding of risk and open conversations around safety.

Last week, Dornan marked National Inclusion Week, bringing colleagues together across our offices and sites to raise awareness of inclusion and our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

As part of the week, our Women @ Dornan network and Hobbies & Fitness Strava Club joined forces for Coffee Walks across Dornan, creating an opportunity for colleagues to connect, share experiences and learn more about our employee networks.
