Frontline Workers | CIF Safety Campaign 2026 🩺

As part of , we welcomed a nurse to our St. Christopher’s Hospice project to provide health checks and advice to our McCabe Group team and subcontractors.

The morning also included a healthy breakfast, promoting the importance of good nutrition and looking after our health and wellbeing both on and off site.

CIF Safety Campaign 2026 | Every Choice Matters

As part of this year’s CIF Construction Safety Campaign, we were delighted to welcome James Gorry to the Cavan Crystal Hotel this morning for a powerful and thought-provoking safety talk attended by McCabe Group employees and subcontractors.

Through sharing his own personal experience, James delivered an important reminder of how one decision, made in a moment, can have consequences that last a lifetime. His story reinforced a simple but vital message: the choices we make every day matter. Taking a moment to stop, think and assess the risks before acting can make all the difference.

At McCabe Group, we recognise that building a strong safety culture goes beyond policies and procedures. It’s about encouraging our people to think about their actions, look out for one another and make safety a priority in every decision.

A sincere thank you to James for sharing his story so openly and delivering a message that will undoubtedly stay with everyone who attended. Thank you also to our employees and subcontractors for taking the time to be part of the morning.

CIF Construction Safety Campaign 2026 | Health & Wellbeing

As proud Campaign Partners of the CIF Construction Safety Campaign 2026, McCabe Group is supporting this year’s Back to Basics campaign, reinforcing our commitment to health, safety and wellbeing across our company.

As part of this commitment, members of our team completed Mental Health First Aid training, equipping them with the skills to recognise signs of mental health difficulties and provide appropriate initial support.

A special thank you to Rosanna from SafeHands for delivering an informative and engaging training programme.

This initiative supports the campaign’s Health and Wellbeing theme, recognising that a strong safety culture goes beyond physical safety to include the mental wellbeing of our people.

Health & Safety is at the heart of how we operate at McCabe Group, and we’re delighted to support this year’s campaign and use the opportunity to showcase our continued commitment to safe working practices across our sites and teams.

Taking place from 12–23 October, this year’s theme, Back to Basics, is a reminder of the importance of getting the fundamentals right and continuing to build a strong safety culture across our industry.
