St. John's Point in County Donegal - Wild Atlantic WayMcSwyne's Castle (or Castle Murray) ruins, dating to the 15th century, are located on the rugged St. John's Point peninsula in County Donegal, near Dunkineely. As a former stronghold of the Mac Suibhne (Sweeney) clan, the remaining, somewhat inaccessible structure consists of a ruined wall with a narrow window and a nearby fragment on the coastline.

We had an amazing time filming at The Hall Demesne, just outside Mountcharles, County Donegal.

Dating back to around 1750, this historic estate was originally built by the Conyngham family of Slane Castle, County Meath. The Conynghams, prominent landlords in Donegal since 1660, left behind a legacy that still echoes through the estate today.

The Hall Demesne boasts an impressive collection of outbuildings, a coach house, and former worker's cottages, all steeped in history. Whether you're drawn to its heritage or its potential as a private retreat or investment opportunity, this estate stands as a remarkable piece of Donegal's past and future.
