St Itas 0-4 Corduff Fc
18. Match report:
Our over 35s side started the a season with a comprehensive victory against a strong, physical St Itas side today in Portrane.
Corduff dominated the game from start to finish, on 18 minutes Blaine Brogans cross come shot deceived the goalkeeper and found its way in at the back post. We continued throughout the half to play on the front foot some lovely football played between Dunner and Blaine ended up with Ricky Egan doubling the score with a tidy finish and we took that 2-0 lead into the break.
The second half was pretty much the same as the first, Fetho sprayed a beautiful 40 yard pass to Blaine who set up Dunner to rifle home a great finish into the top corner, Blaine was once again the provider for Fetho who smashed home the 4th to seal the deal with 18 minutes remaining.
Today was a good solid hardworking display from our tacklers John Ferns and Mark Ashmore helped us to keep a clean sheet, they tackled every blade of grass, the referee you name it.
