🔍 Routine inspection of a GRP pipe repair Beltech Industrial completed at a waste-to-energy facility back in June 2023 🔍

The GRP pipe inside the scrubber had failed entirely due to exposure to aggressive flue gas. The pipe was reinstalled using two internal sleeves which were coated with 1593.

The entire pipe was then wrapped with the Belzona Superwrap II system to restore its structural integrity and protect it from further flue gas contact.

After nearly two years of service, the repair was inspected and was still in perfect condition.

🔧 Restoring Clarifier Wall Surfaces for Drinking Water Systems 🔧

💧We recently completed the restoration of clarifier wall surfaces that had degraded due to prolonged exposure to slightly acidic drinking water.💧

To ensure durability and compliance with drinking water standards, we rebuilt the clarifier walls using 4131 — a highly effective material for repairs.

After that, we overcoated the walls with 5811DW, a WRAS-approved coating designed specifically for safe contact with drinking water.

💪This solution not only restores functionality but also ensures long-lasting protection and meets the stringent standards required for drinking water systems. 💪

🚧 Project Spotlight: Caustic Acid Bund Repair for a Dairy Industry Client 🚧

We recently completed a critical repair on a Caustic Acid Bund for a client in the dairy industry. Over the years, caustic acid had caused significant damage to the bund walls, and the previous coating had failed, leaving the structure vulnerable. We had a tight 4-day window due to a scheduled plant shutdown.

🔧 The Challenge:
In addition to the damage caused by the caustic, we faced unforeseen complications during the project, including an unexpected leak and bad weather. Despite these challenges, our team worked diligently to meet the tight deadline.

💪 The Solution:
To restore the bund, we used Belzona 4131 to rebuild the concrete back to its original profile, ensuring the structural integrity was fully restored. After that, we applied two coats of Belzona 5811 to protect the bund from future chemical damage and ensure long-term durability.

🔑 The Result:
Despite the challenges, we completed the repair within the scheduled timeframe, and our client was extremely pleased with the outcome. It’s always rewarding to see the results of great teamwork, problem-solving, and the right solutions in action!
