Willemstad (originally called Ruigenhil) is named after William of Orange. It was founded in 1583. Whilst Holland was battling Spain, the town was fortified is in the shape of a seven pointed star. You can see some of the bastions from the air. It's a nice small quaint village.
Great stop if you're on the A59/A4 motorway heading towards Belgium!

UCD is usually a hive of student activity, however it hasn't been like that the past few weeks. UCD Science (upper left) has been converted into a Covid 19 contact tracing centre. Shout out to all workers for the great work they're doing. HSE has also done some of their weekly press briefings there.

In the background you can see the RTE studios and the radio tower. Behind RTE you can even spot the Aviva stadium!
