Galway County Council today signed contracts for the construction of two new housing developments in Ardrahan and Ballinasloe.

The Local Authority, in conjunction with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, has appointed a multi-disciplinary Design Team, led by OBFA Architects Limited, to assist with delivering the housing projects.

The 10-unit housing development at Caisléan Raithin, Ardrahan is being constructed by Jada Construction and consists of 3 single storey two-bed dwellings, 1 two-storey three-bed dwelling and 6 two-storey two-bed dwellings.

Jada Construction are hiring an Apprentice Carpenter to join our team.

Requirements:

Excellent Communication Skills
Ability to use your own initiative
Excellent attention to deal with a strong work ethic
Manual Handling and Safe Pass preferred, but not essential
Driving Licence preferred

On completion of a four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified Carpenter and Joiner with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft.

The ideal apprentice should possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, display a keen interest in woodworking and construction, have an aptitude for learning and following instructions, and a commitment to adhering to safety protocols.
