One of the most overlooked ways to get more from solar is simply upgrading your existing system.

While it can sometimes be complex, it’s often far more straightforward—and cost-effective—than people expect.

On this recent project in North Tipperary, we expanded a system from 4.8kWp to 9.85kWp by adding additional panels to a beautiful coach house roof. The result? More than double the generating capacity for a relatively modest investment.

For this local microbrewery, that means significantly lower energy costs, reduced CO₂ emissions, and a big step forward in their sustainability journey.

Something a bit different this week! We dont usually do roofs without solar, but in this case we were tasked with re-roofing an old mass concrete shed, that had fallen into disrepair. The corrugated steel in red oxide, with custom fabricated matching doors, nicely compliment the Douglas Fir Shiplap, on the front Gable. Grateful to be involved in bringing an old building back to its former glory. It will make a fantastic light filled workshop for many years to come!

A project we worked on in Dublin with SolarSmart, with the tricky challenge of sloped ground and rocky terrain.
We were able to come up with a solution for two large groundmount structures that fit neatly onto the property and are very securely anchored with reinforced concrete footings.
Ready to produce energy in all sorts of weather conditions, be it wind, rain or shine!!

This client in Mayo wanted to expand their existing roof mounted solar system. However they did not have adequate additional roof space in the optimal orientation. That is where Solar Structures came in, providing a structure that maximised their solar system to its full potential, with ten additional panels. And also created extra outdoor space for a hot tub and patio activities!!
