We are currently looking for a Structural Steel Detailer to join our office team.
The ideal candidate will be required to produce accurate technical drawings for structural steelwork using Tekla Software
You will work closely with management, fabricators, and contractors to ensure projects are designed, detailed, and delivered to the highest standard.
You will be office based however you may be required to meet with clients on site from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and update detailed drawings for steel structures.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and convert them into fabrication-ready details.
• Liaise with management, workshop, and installation teams to ensure drawings are practical and accurate.
• Prepare and maintain drawing registers and project documentation.
• Make revisions to drawings as required by clients, architects, or engineers.
• Assist in project planning and provide technical support to the workshop and site teams.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Tekla Software
• Experience in structural steel detailing from secondary steelwork, staircases, mezzanines, to industrial & agricultural portal frame buildings.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Desirable (but not required)
• Previous experience in steel fabrication or construction industry
