NEW above the shop grant for conversion/refurb to accommodation units

A grant of up to €95,000 is available for the refurbishment/conversion of the first above the shop unit, with an additional up to €20,000 payable for the second unit created and a further €20,000 where three or more residential units are created, up to a maximum €135,000.

There is no maximum on the number of grants that an individual can apply for the Grant, however only one grant, including top-up amounts is payable per building 😊

💡 First-Time Buyer Grant – What You Need to Know:
✔ Must own and live in the home
✔ Property built before 2011
✔ Purchased a second-hand home from Jan 1st 2025
✔ Must be your first home purchase

💶 Enhanced Grant Amounts Available:
🏢 Apartment: €1,400
🏠 Mid Terrace: €1,800
🏡 Semi-Detached / End Terrace: €1,900
🏘 Detached: €2,500

👉 Plus, additional updates include:
✔ Removal of certain energy upgrade requirements for heat pump projects
✔ Simplified eligibility for NHEUS upgrades

⚠️ Important: Selecting the correct ownership type is crucial when applying, as mistakes cannot be amended later.

It’s hard to believe it all started back in 2006 with Jim Farrell, one man, one van, and a vision to build something meaningful. From those early days to where we are now — a team of over 50 people — it’s been an incredible journey, and one we’re very proud of.
