Safe to say the ovens across EPS Group have been working overtime this week 🍰👏

Today’s bake sale in support of our upcoming 40 Peaks Challenge was an unbelievable success - and when we issued a challenge to our in-house bakers, they absolutely delivered!

From the ever popular breakfast rolls to basil & strawberry cakes, pavlovas and lemon & white chocolate muffins, glittery cupcakes, Malteser cheesecakes, lemon drizzle cake, apple and cinnamon rolls and plenty more besides, the standard was SERIOUSLY impressive 😍

Most importantly, thanks to the generosity of everyone who baked, bought, donated and supported, we raised an incredible €1006.55 (yes, down to the last cent!) towards our fundraising efforts 💪

A huge thank you to all contributors and benefactors for helping turn a love of baking into such a fantastic result.

An unbelievably tasty outcome 🍋🧁🍓

With a week to go until the seriously hard part gets underway, you can still make a difference by donating online at www.40peakschallenge.com

So… after finally organising the ice cream van to visit on what was meant to be - and actually was - the hottest day of the year…

…the SECOND it pulled into the car park, the rain started ☔😆

Cue a group of grown adults protecting their ice creams with umbrellas🍦

Thankfully, not even the weather could wipe the smiles off our faces. A huge thanks to our good friend Alfie from Tonibell Ices for keeping the team fuelled with ice cream and good humour 🍦👏

Only in Ireland!

Celebrating our people 👏

On Friday, our Mallow based team came together for our Employee Day and Long Service Awards - a fantastic evening focused on recognising the people who make EPS what it is.

The afternoon kicked off in Ballyhass Adventures, where there was plenty of activity (and competition!) with archery, high ropes, axe throwing, team games or a chance to relax in the sauna and plunge pool.

From there, the celebrations continued back at The Arches Bar with refreshments, a BBQ and the presentation of our Long Service Awards.

A huge thank you and congratulations to those recognised on the night:

20 Years Service
👏 John Dennehy
👏 Vincent Browne
👏 Amy O'Callaghan

30 Years Service
👏 Anthony McCarthy
👏 Barry Conroy

And from DPS, celebrating 31 Years Service
👏 David Jamshidi

Those marking milestones in our other branches will be recognised at upcoming local events in the coming weeks.

The awards recognise years of dedication, commitment and contribution to the business and it was great to celebrate the occasion together with colleagues and friends.

Our Managing Director Patrick Buckley was part of a panel discussion at today's Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Southern Construct Summit at Páirc Uí Chaoimh entitled Delivering the Vision for Cork 2040.

Chaired by broadcaster Claire Brock, the session saw Patrick join industry leaders - Andrew Brownlee, CEO, CIF, Marcus Carne, Chief Commercial Officer, John Sisk & Son Ltd and Michael O’Flynn, Chairman & CEO, O'Flynn Group.

The group shared their insights and perspective as they discussed how we can accelerate delivery through stronger regional collaboration and clearer pathways from planning to project ex*****on.

During his contribution, Patrick noted that scalable approaches such as modular and off-site construction, particularly in areas like water and wastewater infrastructure - where capacity constraints directly impact housing and regional growth - provide a significant opportunity to help speed up successful delivery.

What an amazing start to our week as we’re delighted to announce our fourth and final Country Sponsor for our 40 Peaks Challenge 2026 - a huge thank you to Zenit Group for coming on board to sponsor Wales!👏

As specialists in pumping and lifting solutions, Zenit are helping us lift the challenge to new heights as teams prepare to take on the demanding Welsh peaks this June. Their focus on performance, resilience and meeting tough challenges makes them a perfect fit for the adventure ahead.

With all four nations now proudly sponsored, the momentum behind the challenge continues to build as we move closer to event weekend.

On 6–7 June, colleagues from across our Group companies will unite across Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales to climb 40 peaks over 915m in just two days - raising vital funds for charity while strengthening connections across our businesses, partners and supply chain.

We’d like to sincerely thank Zenit for their support and for completing our line-up of Country Sponsors for this ambitious Group-wide challenge.

Want to follow the journey and support the challenge as we climb higher together?

There's still time to register to take part in this year's Darkness Into Light walk in aid of Pieta. Ending Su***de. Beginning Hope.

We’re proud to support our team members who are volunteering for and participating in this incredibly important event - raising awareness and vital funds for su***de prevention and mental health support.

Once again, our own Dee Moran is leading the way as Chairperson of Darkness into Light Ballyhaunis. After an incredible 2025 campaign which raised just shy of €12,000 - their best fundraising result to date - hopes are high for another fantastic turnout this year.

In Ballyhaunis, the walk will follow a much-loved route, starting and finishing at the Community School on Knock Road( F35RF63), including the reflective kilometre along the beautiful Friary Walk.

But no matter where you are around the country, there'll be a walk happening near you, so don't forget to register on darknessintolight.ie and walk to remember loved ones and stand together in hope.

Best of luck to everyone taking part - we’re with you every step of the way.

We're back Under the Roof!

In our latest episode, the spotlight shines on our Manufacturing Stores & Procurement team who keep everything moving behind the scenes. Led by Barry Quirke, this is also another great example of an ever evolving career path within EPS.

Barry began his journey with us as a Stores Operative and now leads a team focused on one key objective: ensuring our projects and manufacturing teams have exactly what they need, when they need it.

Through continuous improvements in systems, traceability and oversight over the years, the team has not only grown, but transformed how materials and components are managed - giving our engineers and project teams the confidence to stay focused on the job in hand.

What does this mean? Well...
✔️ Streamlined processes
✔️ Improved visibility and control
✔️ Faster, more efficient delivery
✔️ Equipment and components available at the click of a button

Jus another function happily housed Under the Roof in our Centre for Design and Manufacturing Excellence as we deliver smarter, more efficient solutions for our internal teams and ultimately, our customers and clients.
