Residents may be interested in an upcoming Forestry Management Walk organised by a local resident and Teagasc Forestry, taking place at Mallow Castle.

This guided woodland walk will focus on NeighbourWoods and Forests on Public Land, highlighting the important role of native forests in supporting biodiversity, protecting water quality, and improving climate resilience.
The walk will also explore how community woodlands and other forest types contribute to sustainable forest management while providing recreational, environmental, and wellbeing benefits for local communities.
This is a free event and an excellent opportunity to learn more about the forests and woodlands in our area. All are welcome.
