🌳 Forest Management Walk – Mallow Castle 🌳

We're delighted to share details of an exciting woodland event coming to our area!

Teagasc Forestry are hosting a FREE Woodland Walk focusing on NeighbourWoods & Forests on Public Land, and it's taking place right here in Mallow!

📅 Date: Thursday, 18th June 2026
⏰ Time: 7:00pm
📍 Venue: Mallow Castle, Mallow, Co. Cork (Eircode: P51 KC57)

The walk will explore how these and other forest types support sustainable forest management and deliver benefits for both people and nature.

The upcoming Forest Management Walks, organised by Teagasc Forestry in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine will provide practical insights into key forestry management approaches to help optimise the potential of forests.

Each walk focuses on a specific forestry management theme, including reforestation, continuous cover forestry, native woodland management, agroforestry, mixed forests and recreation.

🌳 Forest Management Walk at Mallow Castle🌳

Residents may be interested in an upcoming Forestry Management Walk organised by a local resident and Teagasc Forestry, taking place at Mallow Castle.

📅 Date: Thursday, 18 June 2026�🕖 Time: 7:00pm�📍 Venue: Mallow Castle, Mallow, Co. Cork (Eircode: P51 KC57)

This guided woodland walk will focus on NeighbourWoods and Forests on Public Land, highlighting the important role of native forests in supporting biodiversity, protecting water quality, and improving climate resilience.
The walk will also explore how community woodlands and other forest types contribute to sustainable forest management while providing recreational, environmental, and wellbeing benefits for local communities.

This is a free event and an excellent opportunity to learn more about the forests and woodlands in our area. All are welcome.
