That’s a wrap on SMM 2026 for NTS.

We had a productive few days in Hamburg, meeting with suppliers and technical specialists from across the marine industry.

The team also had the opportunity to see the latest marine technologies and engineering solutions first-hand, particularly those relevant to NTS’s technical work on board vessels worldwide.

Last week, our team in Poland came together in Gdańsk for the NTS Poland Celebration Event at Wróblówka.

Our senior leadership team shared a business update, reflecting on where NTS is today and outlining our plans and priorities for the future.

The afternoon continued with great food, plenty of catch-ups and some friendly competition with our Darts Tournament. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who took part.

With our presence in Poland approaching 20 years, the event was also an opportunity to recognise the people and long-standing relationships behind our operations there, and the contribution they continue to make to projects around the world.

A busy week is underway at SMM 2026 in Hamburg.

Representing NTS are Damien Morgan and Kent Knutsson, alongside Conleth McConville, Joint Group Managing Director of Rathbane Group.

As a key event for the global maritime industry, SMM brings together the latest developments in marine technology and engineering.

As a specialist in marine piping, structural works and technical project delivery, the event provides a valuable opportunity for NTS to explore new technologies and engage with suppliers and industry partners.

Golf, good company and giving back.

We were delighted to support our sister company by entering a team in their annual charity golf day in aid of Cancer Focus NI.

The day brought together clients, colleagues and suppliers for some friendly competition, great conversations and the opportunity to strengthen relationships, all while raising funds for a charity that makes a real difference to people and families affected by cancer.

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic event.

Jacuzzi demolition completed in preparation for upcoming dry dock works 🔧⚓️

Our team carried out the safe removal of an existing jacuzzi unit to prepare the area for the next phase of installation onboard.

Works included disconnection of all associated pipework and services, controlled dismantling of the structure, and careful removal to protect surrounding areas.

The space has now been fully cleared and prepared, ready for upcoming upgrades as part of the dry dock schedule.

Another important step completed by the team. Watch this space for the next stage 👀

Stair Prefabrication In-House

Prefabricated stairs delivered and installed for a cruise vessel project ⚓️

This project was fabricated in-house and carried through to final installation, ensuring precision at every stage.

The stair system was designed to integrate seamlessly within the vessel layout, with careful attention to structural integrity, alignment, and onboard safety requirements.

Controlled fabrication, combined with efficient installation, allowed for a smooth process and a high-quality finish.

Another example of delivering practical, reliable solutions for marine environments.

Steel deck closure successfully completed 🔧⚓️

Our team carried out the full scope of steel works required to close and separate a two deck venue.

From structural preparation to precise fitting and welding of steel plates, every stage was completed with accuracy and attention to detail.

The result is a strong, durable finish designed to perform reliably and provide additional valuable accommodation space for our client.
