🎉 We're delighted to have supported the Knockbride Festival Family Fun Day through the Carrickallen Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.
The festival brought the local community together for a full day celebrating rural life, local traditions and community spirit, with families, businesses, schools and community groups all getting involved.
Last year the event welcomed around 2,000 people and provides an important opportunity for the community to come together, support local enterprises and raise funds for local causes
We're proud to support initiatives like this that bring people of all ages together and help create lasting memories within the local community. 👏

⛅ Blade inspections by our operations division team at Cronalaght Wind Farm in Gweedore, Co. Donegal, caught on a morning when low cloud rolled in over a handful of turbines further out, leaving the blades floating clear above it while our technicians worked blade-side.
Up close, the job was checking for surface wear, leading edge erosion and any structural damage that could affect performance down the line.
This is the job, on a good day.

Last week, our Galetech East Africa team attended the Kenya Renewable Energy Association - KEREA National Policy Dialogue and Showcase in Nairobi.
The discussions focused on the productive use of energy and how reliable, affordable energy can support development across key sectors including healthcare, water, agriculture and wider economic activity.
A key theme was the importance of moving beyond energy access and looking at how energy can actively enable better services, increased productivity and more sustainable livelihoods.
It was a valuable opportunity to engage with stakeholders across the sector, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration around practical energy solutions for sustainable development in Kenya.
Our General Manager, Felix Opilli, also had the opportunity to meet with Wilfred Baya, Assistant Director of Energy for Kilifi County, during the event.

Meet Gerard Adamowicz, who recently joined our operations division as a Wind Turbine Technician.
Gerard brings a mechanical and industrial maintenance background, with a strong interest in hands-on work, troubleshooting and understanding how systems operate.
His move to our operations division team marks an exciting step into the renewable energy sector, where he is already gaining practical experience and developing his knowledge of wind turbine systems alongside our experienced technicians.

A significant milestone for the Tipperary Solar Cluster. ☀️
Galetech Group is proud to have been part of the team working alongside Energy in bringing the Erkina, Derrymore and Monaincha solar farms from development through to construction and towards final energisation.
With 222 MWp of planned capacity across the three sites, this is a major project for Ireland's renewable energy sector and the result of collaboration across many teams, partners and organisations.
Well done to everyone involved in getting the project to this stage, a great collaborative effort, and we look forward to seeing the Tipperary Solar Cluster move into operation. 👏
