A Decade of Fabrication

As we conclude today’s project showcase, this video highlights 10 years of fabrication work across residential and commercial developments — from architectural balustrades and staircases to balconies and specialist steelwork.

Since establishing our workshop a decade ago, our focus has remained on delivering high-quality workmanship, dependable programme delivery, and strong working relationships.

As the year comes to a close, we would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

10. John Paul Construction - The Grange, Stillorgan

At the Grange residential complex in Stillorgan, completed by John Paul Construction, we delivered the internal stair package for six apartment blocks, comprising mild steel painted balustrades and grab rails.

Our works also included external ground-floor balustrades, staircases, roof terrace railings, and façade elements within the lobby areas.

9. Monami - Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge

This project was carried out at the Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge, in a live hotel environment that remained fully operational throughout the works. The scope included interior upgrades and the addition of a new roof floor to accommodate additional guest rooms.

Our works comprised the structural steel roof extension and the fabrication and installation of a feature curved glass balustrade in the main lobby, complete with handrails.

8. JJ Rhatigan - IADT Dún Laoghaire & TU Dublin Tallaght

We were awarded the architectural and structural metalwork packages for both IADT Dún Laoghaire and TU Dublin Tallaght projects with JJ Rhatigan. Delivered concurrently, both projects were of similar design and specification.

Our works included feature structural steel staircases with glass balustrades to the lobby areas, internal stair cores, external railings, and structural steelwork to plant room areas.

We supplied galvanised steel access platforms directly to Eli Lilly for their manufacturing plant in Limerick. This project comprised the fabrication and installation of bespoke access platforms to service plant enclosures, delivered in line with operational and safety requirements.

6. Conack - Institute of Technology Carlow Campus

Completed for Conack, this project at the Institute of Technology Carlow campus included the installation of glass balustrades to the atrium, staircases, and landing rails in the main lobby.

In addition, we delivered two stair cores featuring painted mild steel balustrades with stainless steel handrails, as well as external roof-level balustrades.

5. SISK - TU Dublin Grangegorman – East Quad & West Quad

This project, led by SISK, took place within the East Quad and West Quad buildings at TU Dublin’s Grangegorman campus. Our works included the installation of balustrades to all atrium areas and multiple stair cores across both buildings.

The project comprised approximately 670 meters of internal atrium balustrades, 890 meters of stair balustrades, and 1,150 meters of timber grab rails.

4. Sole Restaurant & Saint Gym, Dublin

Located on Drury Street in Dublin 2, this project included bespoke architectural metalwork for Sole Restaurant and Saint Gym. Works comprised the fabrication and installation of architectural steel roof sculptures to the Infinity Room, dining room, and lobby areas.
We also installed stainless steel and glass balustrades to the external rooftop ice bath areas of the gym.

Working from an initial concept, our drafting team carried out site measurements and produced detailed drawings to deliver the finished design as envisioned by the client. Additional works included internal stair core balustrades, a bespoke entrance canopy, and external railings for the smoking area.

3. Coolsivna Construction - Mungret Community College

Mungret Community College is a newly constructed post-primary secondary school in Limerick, designed to accommodate approximately 1,000 pupils. Our works included the fabrication and installation of the structural steel package for the main school building and GP Hall roofs, comprising approximately 120 tonnes of steel.

We also delivered the architectural metalwork package, providing internal and external balustrades and railings throughout the campus.

2. Walls Construction - Shanganagh Castle Estate

This Land Development Agency project, led by Walls Construction, is the largest public housing development in Ireland in recent years. The estate comprises 597 residential units, including houses, apartments, a crèche, and associated amenities.

Our scope included the fabrication and installation of galvanised and painted mild steel balcony railings across all seven apartment blocks, totaling approximately 4,000 metres, installed in phased stages over 14 months. We also delivered 700 metres of internal stair core balustrades and 960 metres of wall-mounted handrails, all finished with solid oak handrails. Additional works included secondary steelwork, roof-level balustrades, and aluminium-painted flashings.

1. Duggan Brothers - Leeson Lane

This project involved the construction of a seven-storey office building for the OPW. Our scope included the fabrication and installation of two stair cores extending from basement level to roof level. The staircases comprise single-stringer cantilevered steel structures with painted mild steel balustrades and glass infill panels, finished with solid oak grab rails and wall-mounted handrails.

Works also included the installation of additional handrails and upgrades to existing staircases as part of the restoration of the historic Spruce House on site. Additional elements delivered included glass atrium balustrades and staircases, roof-level balustrades, façade flashings, secondary steelwork, external gates, and bin stores.

Celebrating 10 Years of Steel Fabrication

Today marks 10 years since we collected the keys to our workshop in Upperchurch, beginning our journey as a mild steel and stainless steel fabrication company.

Over the past decade, we have delivered a wide range of projects, from balustrades, staircases, railings, and balconies to structural steel, sheds, gates and bespoke metal products. We have been working alongside main contractors, developers, and design teams across residential and commercial developments all across Ireland.
To mark this milestone, today we will be sharing 10 projects that reflect the scale, quality, and progression of our work over the last 10 years.
