Stepping into a leadership role is an exciting milestone, and our Leadership Essentials programme is designed to support our people along the way.

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲 🌑→☀️

Today’s solar eclipse will temporarily reduce the amount of sunlight reaching solar panels across Europe, causing a short-term drop in PV output by up to 9.7 GW, according to ENTSO-E, the association representing Europe’s power grid operators.

This astronomical event is an interesting example of the challenges that come with integrating renewable energy into our power systems, and why resilient infrastructure, reliable grid connections and effective energy management are so important.

Through our EP&R sector, Suir Engineering delivers the electrical and high-voltage infrastructure supporting the continued growth of renewable energy across Europe.

After many years of dedicated service, we'd like to wish a very happy retirement to Declan Deegan, who has retired from his role as Purchasing Officer in our Waterford office.

Throughout his time with Suir Engineering, Declan has been a valued member of the team, known for his reliability and the positive relationships he built with colleagues and suppliers alike.

As Declan begins this new chapter, we thank him for his service and the contribution he has made over the years.

Volunteers took part from both our head offices and project sites across the region, all coming together for a brilliant day of teamwork and a bit of healthy competition around Dublin city.

From Irish dancing at St Patrick’s Cathedral to posing with statues, breakdancing on Grafton Street and tackling plenty of Dublin trivia along the way, our team took on every challenge!

Most importantly, we are proud to support such an important cause, helping raise vital funds for sick children and their families.
