We’re proud to collaborate with the Jerusalem Development Authority (JDA) in promoting the City Entrance project, a transformative plan to revitalize Jerusalem’s western gateway.

The City Entrance project is transforming Jerusalem into a vibrant business hub, combining commerce, culture, and leisure. Located at the western entrance, it connects key landmarks and transit stations, making it a vital transportation hub. Featuring mixed-use construction, including 36-story towers, the project emphasizes public spaces and seamless transport access. Creating a dynamic business center, enhancing the city’s accessibility and vibrancy.

Topaz addressed several complex key areas, including:
• Infrastructure and systems, including electrical, communications, and lighting design.
• Environmental development, including complementary projects affected by traffic flow.
• Construction of new roads and preparation of future infrastructure for regional developers.

This project presents complex engineering challenges in a dense urban environment, demanding innovative and unconventional solutions to meet the city’s evolving needs.

The Bnei Ayish project is a large-scale urban renewal initiative aimed at expanding the existing town and developing modern infrastructure to support approximately 6,500 residential units, modernizing the town’s infrastructure to ensure efficiency and innovation.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀:
1. Designing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations.
2. Communication Systems Planning, Coordination with Communication Providers.
3. Innovative road lighting systems design.
4. Traffic Light Systems for the Neighborhood
5. Upgrading National Roads (Netivei Israel) - Improving existing infrastructure, road widening and enhancements.
6. The main challenge: Relocation of High-Voltage Power Lines.

𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗮𝘇’𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: BMS (Building Management System), Electrical Engineering Systems, Lighting Designers, Communication Works, Electric Vehicle Charging, and Architectural Lighting Designing.

As part of the national Railway 431 initiative, which will connect the southern coastal plain (Ashdod, Ashkelon, etc.) and central Israel’s localities (Rishon LeZion, Ramla, etc.) to Modi’in and Jerusalem via a 30-kilometer-long railway. At Topaz, we are proud to have contributed to this national project in the design of Ma’ayan Shorik Station, a key part of Segment 7 in the Railway Tracks no. 431 in the West Project.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
• 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲: The station will be built as part of the longest bridge built in Israel (3.5 km), which will connect the Kiryat Rishon interchange to HaRishonim station.
• 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱:
1. Two side platforms on a bridge.
2. Four levels of covered parking.
3. External parking with provisions for electric vehicle charging.
4. Passenger hall.
5. Energy center.

This project is unique not only for its complexity but also for the integration of cutting-edge sustainable solutions, including electric vehicle charging infrastructure and energy-efficient lighting.

⚡ 🔦 Project Spotlight: Rishon Lezion - Electric Bus Terminal and Night Parking
Client: Ayalon Highways
Topaz’s responsibility: Electrical Engineering, Lighting Designing and Communication Planning

The project involves the design and construction of a dedicated terminal and parking facility for electric buses and serves as both a night parking area and a charging hub for a fleet of 96 electric buses. The project includes several advanced electrical and infrastructure elements as followed:

1. Electrical connection with a 7 Mega capacity.
2. Unique cable channels – Advanced cable channels, one of the few projects in the country to utilize them.
3. Advanced electrical system.
4. Custom terminal lighting – Efficient, functional, and safe lighting.
5. Smart security and communication systems – Includes LPR (License Plate Recognition), cameras, and intrusion detection systems.

We were honored to join the “Rewrite the Future” conference, hosted by aChord Center מרכז אקורד, Rekema, and the Joint Distribution Committee, alongside industry leaders from high-tech, banking, government, and other major sectors. Our representative, Yara Abu Hatoum Qupty, Director of lighting design department, senior electrical engineer and strategic management team member at Topaz, shared our approach to managing “emergency routine” — a framework for maintaining organizational stability in tense environments. Her insights emphasized the importance of fostering intergroup dynamics and a respectful, resilient workplace, even in challenging times.
