Energiya Global (energiyaglobal.com) develops affordable solar projects worldwide, from planning through to implementation, with the goal of providing clean electricity for 50 million people by 2020. The company’s vision is for a world in which developing nations will be powered predominantly by clean, safe, affordable, renewable energy. Clean energy will not be a luxury that only wealthy nations
can afford, but will be the energy of choice for lifting people in developing countries out of poverty. Energiya Global mobilizes the ingenuity and the values of Israel and the Jewish People to reduce the world’s dependence on fossil fuels and empower people globally. Energiya Global’s core activities include identifying promising markets, securing land, carrying out necessary studies and tests, obtaining permits, negotiating Power Purchase Agreements with governments or utilities and bringing debt and equity finance. Current projects including developing the first utility-scale solar PV field in Rwanda, with local partner Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village for orphans of the Rwandan genocide. Energiya Global is working with Israeli integrator Solar Power on the first stage of the Rwanda project, to install the first solar KW in the village on Feb 6th, 2013 and is also developing a project in the Ialomita region of Romania totaling 8 MW.
