If something feels off, it probably is. And if someone is insisting that everything is fine — that’s usually a good reason to double-check everything twice...
Oh, my friends… the longer I live in Israel, the more I realize: there’s not much point discussing technical problems without involving an expert.
Water drains slowly in the shower — “Don’t flush wipes down the toilet”…
The boiler heats water too slowly — “It’s always been like that”…
The AC smells bad — “Just clean the filters”…
Sometimes it feels like there’s a pre-written answer for every problem…
A few days ago, a client asked me to help convince the landlord that the air conditioner actually had an issue. Only after a detailed photo report and a full explanation did the owner finally agree that the system needed attention. Before that, the response was the usual: “Just clean the filters”…
Yes. Except there were no filters at all. None. Instead, there was a completely clogged evaporator coil and filthy, smelly air ducts packed with dirt.
And this isn’t about “bad landlords.” It’s just a normal human reaction — nobody wants to spend money until they’re sure there’s a real problem.
But we all know: if you don’t take care of the problem yourself, nobody else will. 💧
And if you haven’t cleaned the filters in your central AC system for several years… then something is definitely wrong. ❄️
AND THE GRILLE IN THE CEILING IS NOT A FILTER!!! ⚠️
Still, no need to panic. Summer is only two weeks away ;)
Message me on WhatsApp — I’ll help you find your filters and evaluate the condition of the entire system. And who knows, maybe we’ll even get the landlord involved… Because deep down, they also understand that an “unexpected” repair in the middle of a heatwave costs a lot more than regular proper maintenance.
Or maybe they don’t? 🤔
