📢 This just in: MeMed has been awarded a $2 million national grant from the to establish a first-of-its-kind acute care digital and physical biobank.

Selected through a highly competitive national process, will lead the establishment of an acute care diagnostics and proteomics biobank as part of a nationwide AI R&D data infrastructure.

Built on MeMed’s host-response technology, this initiative supports clinicians facing the most urgent, high-stakes decisions in medicine- where minutes matter and biological insight is often missing. By capturing immune biology at the point of care and unifying it with clinical data and AI, the biobank will accelerate the development of next-generation ™ diagnostics for high-risk patients.

Thank you to the Israel Innovation Authority for supporting innovation at the front lines of care. We’re proud to lead this national effort and to help accelerate acute-care innovation by years and millions of dollars.

📢 More evidence from pediatric urgent care settings is in: continues to demonstrate meaningful clinical impact in real-world care.

Diagnosing acute infections in children at urgent care centers is often challenging. Physicians must decide, often under timely pressure, whether to prescribe antibiotics or refer a child to the ED, frequently with incomplete or ambiguous clinical information. Having a reliable tool to support these decisions can make a real difference for patients, families, and the healthcare system.

A new pragmatic, real-world study evaluated the use of in pediatric urgent care centers when physicians faced diagnostic uncertainty. The findings highlight MeMed BV’s ability to safely guide decision-making:

✔️ 26% discouraged ED referrals
✔️ 81% physician adherence to MeMed BV result
✔️ 82% physicians reported MeMed BV changed or supported their prescribing decision
✔️ 62% fewer unnecessary antibiotics for viral infections
✔️ 77 % treated appropriately when bacterial infection detected
✔️ Highest impact vs. other biomarkers on antibiotic prescribing (OR 0.07)

Together, these results add yet another layer of evidence from pediatric urgent care settings, showing how MeMed BV supported safe and confident clinical decision-making for pediatric acute infections in urgent care settings.

A Key Milestone Toward Next Generation ™, Capillary Blood and Venous Blood Equivalency is confirmed!
Our next generation will be moving closer to patients, and we are proud to share a new milestone.
Recent data show that capillary blood samples deliver MeMed BV scores and biomarker values comparable to venous samples.
This achievement has the potential to bring MeMed BV one step closer to broader bedside use. It opens a path for simpler sampling workflows that can support clinical teams in delivering faster and more accessible host response testing.

📣 New evidence is in: continues to show high accuracy in some of the most challenging patient populations. This time in hospitalized children.

Managing infections in pediatric wards is complex. Once children are admitted, their symptoms can evolve, presentations blur, and determining if antibiotic treatment for a suspected infection becomes even more challenging. Reliable tools to support this important decision at this stage are essential.

A new study from Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital evaluated MeMed BV's performance on a large cohort of 1,059 hospitalized children. The results speaks for themselves:

• AUC: 0.92
• Sensitivity: 87%
• Specificity: 90%
• NPV: 94 %

Just months after the strong results published in elderly adults, this pediatric inpatient study adds another data point to a growing pattern of consistent performance across complex groups.

With this year's theme - Act Now, Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future -
🧫 is a powerful reminder of how one breakthrough reshaped modern medicine, and how our shared responsibility continues today.

In 1929, Alexander Fleming published his groundbreaking paper on penicillin, ushering in the antibiotic era and saving countless lives. Nearly a century later, these life-changing medicines face a growing threat: antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Fleming himself cautioned that misuse and overuse of antibiotics could render them ineffective - a warning that has become our reality.

💡 As leaders in host response diagnostics we honor his legacy by committing to responsible antibiotic use and championing the research, diagnostics, and innovation needed to stay ahead of resistance.

🌍 This week marks the World Health Organization’s , with the 2025 theme: “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.”

At , we are deeply committed to addressing one of the most urgent global health challenges of our time.

💡 Did you know? Without decisive action, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) could surpass cancer as a leading cause of death by 2050 (Antimicrobial Resistance Collaborators, The Lancet, 2022).

MeMed’s recent feature in the NHS England press release underscores our shared mission to combat this growing threat. By advancing tools that reduce diagnostic uncertainty, we help ensure antibiotics are prescribed only when truly necessary- protecting patients today and safeguarding antibiotic effectiveness for the future.

Our MeMed BV® test, which distinguishes between bacterial and viral infections in just 15 minutes, empowers clinicians with timely insights that improve patient care while supporting the global fight against .
