“My entire life is tied to merletto”. With these words, Loretta Lovisa sums up her story, intimately intertwined with Merletto di Orvieto (Orvieto lace), a tradition she inherited as a child, watching her grandmother and mother sew on their doorstep.

Over time, she transformed it into a profession that has brought her immense satisfaction, carrying her from her small, charming artisan bottega in the heart of Orvieto, a beautiful medieval city located in central Italy, across Europe, till to Japan.

A beautiful 4,000 sq ft office shaped from the courtyard outward.

In the Courtyard Veil by Squelette Design, a shaded core organises the plan into two perpendicular wings, with a single stone register.

Italian Vibes, Chapter 2 (The Full Story): Acetaia Leonardi, by the Leonardi Family.

In Italy, time itself has a flavor.

You can taste it in a single, precious drop aged for 12, 50, even 100 years. You can sense it in the silent work of wooden barrels, in the patient passage of seasons, in the dedication of four generations to every detail of their craft.

This is the slow, poetic essence of and the second vibration of Italian Vibes, Nexion's journey into the soul of Italian artisan Botteghe. In Magreta di Formigine, Northern Italy, the Leonardi family has been crafting Modena's celebrated the traditional balsamic vinegar called black gold for four generations, conceiving every bottle as a gift for those yet to come.

At Nexion, we recognize the same sensibility in our own path: time and patience as the very foundation of excellence. We observe, we experiment, we refine, until our materials evolve into design masterpieces. Because true Italian style is never a matter of speed, it is a matter of intention.
