Powertrac Group applies for 404 MW, with Gujarat state DISCOM PGVCL, and has an additional in advanced PPA stage under the DREBP & PM-KUSUM-A schemes—marking a major step toward its 1 GW IPP target by 2030
Powertrac Group, a leading renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) and EPC player, has achieved a significant milestone in its long-term growth roadmap by successfully signing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) aggregating 150 MW with Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). These PPAs have been executed under the Gujarat State Distributed Renewable Energy-Based Power (DREBP) Scheme and the PM-KUSUM-A Scheme, out of a total 404 MWp capacity applied for by the Group.
This achievement is fully aligned with Powertrac Group’s clearly defined vision of achieving 1 GW (1000 MW) of operational IPP capacity by 2030, further reinforcing its position as a fast-growing renewable energy platform in India.
Powertrac Group, together with its strategic investment partners M/s Pruthvi Telecasts, Eiffil Group, Parv Group, and DD Group, has committed an aggregate investment of approximately ₹1,696 crore towards the development and timely commissioning of these long-term, PPA-backed solar power projects.
The signed PPAs have been secured at a competitive tariff of ₹2.76 per unit for a tenure of 25 years, ensuring long-term revenue visibility, predictable cash flows, and strong project bankability—key considerations for banks, financial institutions, and infrastructure investors. All projects are fully compliant with Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) norms and ALMM List-II regulations, underscoring Powertrac Group’s strict adherence to regulatory frameworks, quality standards, and domestic manufacturing mandates.
Under the leadership of Managing Director Mr. Divyarajsinh Zala, CEO Mr. Dhruv Patel, and the core leadership team, Powertrac Group has also built a robust development pipeline of an additional 268 MW of distributed solar IPP projects. These projects are currently at advanced stages and are expected to be converted into PPAs shortly under the DREBP and PM-KUSUM-A schemes, taking the Group’s near-term cumulative PPA capacity to over 404 MW.
Powertrac Group expressed its sincere appreciation to PGVCL Managing Director Shri Ketan Joshi, Chief Engineer Shri K. B. Shah, and the entire PGVCL team for creating a transparent, developer-friendly, single-window framework that has enabled efficient project approvals and seamless ex*****on of PPAs.
With a strong PPA base, a credible growth pipeline, and committed capital, Powertrac Group continues to strengthen its role in supporting India’s clean energy transition and Gujarat’s distributed renewable energy ambitions.
