Enercomp Solutions recently completed an advanced geospatial survey for a heritage archaeology project by integrating UAV photogrammetry and terrestrial LiDAR scanning to create a highly accurate, fully georeferenced digital twin of a historic site.
Project Workflow:
🔹 Ground Control Point (GCP) deployment using GNSS base-rover setup
🔹 UAV aerial survey for orthomosaic and DSM generation
🔹 Terrestrial LiDAR scanning of intricate interior temple structures
🔹 High-density coloured 3D point cloud generation for conservation documentation
The outcome was a millimetre-level accurate digital archive capturing carved columns, sanctum details, and architectural elements with exceptional precision — supporting structural analysis, restoration planning, heritage conservation, and long-term archival preservation.
