Similar factory size.
But very different results.
This is something we see quite often.
Many times, factory lighting is judged only by whether a certain lux level is achieved. And yes, lux is important.
But uniformity is equally important.
If the light is not evenly distributed, some areas feel bright while others feel dull. The eyes keep adjusting. Over time, this causes fatigue and discomfort, even if the lux reading looks fine on the lux meter on a given point.
Lux just tells you the light intensity at a point. Uniformity tells you how the space actually feels. Its experiential!
In industrial environments, it’s not just about illumination. It’s about creating a space where people can work comfortably and safely for long hours.
