भारत की मिथिला पेंटिंग्स जब ट्रेन पर उकेरी गई तो इसने देश के साथ विदेशियों को भी अपनी सुंदरता से प्रभावित किया। मुझे यह बताते हुए खुशी है कि जापान ने मिथिला पेंटिंग्स की खूबसूरती को देखकर इस कला के चित्रकारों की टीम भेजने का अनुरोध किया है, और हम इस कार्य को सहर्ष कर रहे हैं।

श्रद्धालुओं की धार्मिक आस्था को ध्यान में रखते हुए और पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए केंद्र सरकार ने रेलवे द्वारा वसूले जा रहे मेला अधिशुल्क को समाप्त करने का निर्णय लिया है, जिससे कुम्भ और ऐसे सभी मेलों में लगाए जा रहे अधिशुल्क से यात्रियों को राहत मिलेगी
