Tripartite MoU Signed to Build Industry-Ready Skills in Fibre Moulding, Pulp and Paper Manufacturing
Parason Machinery (India) Pvt. Ltd., Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and Pakka Skills signed a tripartite MoU on 24 July 2026 for an industry-aligned capacity-building program focused on rural youth.
The collaboration will combine academic knowledge, industry expertise and practical learning to support:
✔ Hands-on technical training
✔ Industry exposure and apprenticeship opportunities
✔ Employability and workplace readiness
✔ Career pathways in sustainable fibre-based manufacturing
Under the initiative, Pakka Skills and Parason propose to jointly establish a Learning Excellence Hub at the Pakka Skills campus in Ayodhya, with academic collaboration from IIT Roorkee in mutually agreed areas and subject to applicable institutional approvals.
As the industry partner, Parason will contribute technical expertise, practical training inputs and exposure to relevant machinery, equipment and current industrial practices.
The signing was attended by Mr. Madhure Desarda, Director – Global Business & Product Development, and Mr. Mahipal Saini, Manager, Sales and Marketing, Parason Machinery; Prof. K.K. Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee; Prof. Amit Agarwal, Associate Dean, Corporate Interaction, IIT Roorkee; Prof. Vibhore K. Rastogi, Program Coordinator, Department of Paper & Packaging Technology, Prof. Kirtiraj K. Gaikwad, Head, Department of Paper & Packaging Technology, Prof. Dharm Dutt, Faculty, Department of Paper & Packaging Technology, IIT Roorkee, along with faculty from the department; and Ms. Sarita Upadhyay, CEO, Pakka Foundation, and Dr. Ashwini Dixit, Head, Pakka Skills.
In the coming years, India will play a very important role in the pulp and paper industry. Developing skilled manpower is equally important, and that is what Parason, Pakka Skills, and IIT Roorkee are working towards. Parason is playing its role in the development of both society and the paper industry at large.
