It is easy to take you for granted but it is difficult to forget your inspirational words. It is easy to misbehave in class but it is difficult to overlook your motivational advice. Dear Students,

It is to inform you about the Student Poster Presentation Competition during SIAT 2017 at ARAI. This competition aims to provide a platform to individual or a team of two students from India to showcase their innovative work done in the field of Future Automotive Technologies. The competition would also seek to encourage students, to develop innovative technologies and products to mitigate future environmental & safety challenges in India.

SIAT 2017 – SPPC Scheme:

·Based on the theme of SIAT 2017, posters are invited from students on topics mentioned in below categories.

- Sustainable Mobility (FCV/HEV/EV/Euro-VI technologies)

- Smart Vehicles (Autonomous Vehicles/Connected Vehicles/ADAS)

- Automotive Safety

Bonafide engineering students of both UG & PG levels including Ph.D from all over India will be eligible to participate in the event. Maximum two students can contribute for a poster.

The proposed dates for important milestones for SPPC are as given below.

Receipt of draft posters from students

25th November 2016

Qualifying round and result announcement

10th December 2016

Receipt of Final poster from qualified students

25th December 2016


5 posters from each category, total 15, will be selected for final round. These selected students will be invited during SIAT 2017 to display and present their posters to SIAT 2017 delegates and other participants at a prominent location in SIAT Expo area.

The students selected for final round at ARAI will be provided with following amenities. This will be applicable only to students actual participating at ARAI during SIAT 2017.

* Reimbursement of actual railway ticket fare of 2nd class sleeper for onward & return journey, limited to a maximum of Rs. 3600/- for a pair of students.

* Coupons for Lunch, Morning & Evening Hi-tea.

* Delegate kit (limited).

* Support for accommodation for 4 nights & 3 days limited to a maximum of Rs. 3600/- for a pair of students.

* Regular transportation for all the three SIAT 2017 days as per the standard routes.

* Mementos, same as those given to presenting authors of SIAT 2017

* All 15 numbers of posters selected for the final round will be printed by ARAI for display.
* The prizes for the poster presentation for each category will be as follows:

First Prize
Rs. 15,000/- + Certificate of Rank

Second Prize

Rs. 10,000/- + Certificate of Rank

Third Prize

Rs. 5, 000/- + Certificate of Rank

Certificate of contribution will be given to all the contributing students selected for the final round.
