Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps shot down a U.S. MQ‑9 Reaper drone over the Strait of Hormuz, the IRGC said. The remotely piloted aircraft was operating above the strait and reportedly assisting in navigation of commercial vessels. Iranian officials say this is the 54th U.S. MQ‑9 Reaper downed by Iran.
