XCyton Diagnostics has developed a revolutionary molecular diagnostic test called Syndrome Evaluation System (SES) for the diagnosis of critical Infections like Encephalitis, Meningitis, MeningoEncephalitis, Sepsis, Post Transplant infections etc.
SES allows for the simultaneous detection of all the probable pathogens that are known to cause a syndrome irrespective of them being bacteria, fungi, viruses or parasites, in a single sample in a single test.

SES is a patented technology. The technology of SES involves multiplex nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) amplification of the signature genes.

The amplified product is then detected by sequence specific (probe based) hybridization, followed by an enzymatic reaction-based visual readout.

The advantages of SES are as follows:
1. SES drives therapeutic decisions. It helps the clinician to institute targeted therapy.
2. SES gives an increased rate of detection/diagnosis in any given clinical syndrome. Hence can institute appropriate therapy in many and derive better patient outcomes.
3. SES is rapid, It has a process time of 6 hours
4. SES is comprehensive, and can be used in detecting a wide variety of pathogens belonging to different classes.
5. SES can be used for ruling in an infection or for ruling out an infectious cause.
6. SES is cost effective.
