Calling all makers, engineers, and tinkerers 👋

Hackster.io has launched its first big contest of 2026 — "Invent the Future with
Arduino UNO Q and App Lab" — in partnership with Arduino and Qualcomm.

The star of the show is the new Arduino UNO Q, a board with a real "dual brain": a
Qualcomm Dragonwing processor running Linux, plus an STM32 microcontroller for
real-time tasks, all working together through Arduino's App Lab.

There's $20,000 up for grabs across 6 category winners (Robotics, Industrial IoT,
Gaming, Home Automation, and Social Impact), and the top project wins a paid trip to
Maker Faire Rome 2026.

Mohammed Ismail Ahmed spent 5-6 years teaching himself drone building, Arduino-based hardware engineering, and applied AI — long before it became a business. In 2025, that hands-on experience became BURAQROBOTICS AI: a drone, AI, and robotics solutions company built on in-house engineering and edge-AI technology, based in Ramanagara, Karnataka. We design fully custom drones, robots, robotic cars, and AI agents for agriculture, logistics, construction, and events across South India.

Cracking the Dual-Brain Architecture: Day 1 of the Arduino Physical AI Challenge 2026 🧠⚡

The biggest mistake you can make in edge robotics? Trying to run complex AI vision models and high-frequency motor control loops on the exact same processor core. You either get AI bottlenecking, or your motors stutter and crash.

This is exactly why the Arduino UNO Q is such a game-changer for our build at BuraqRobotics AI.

We spent today mapping out the Inter-Processor Communication (IPC) for our autonomous inventory tracking system. Here is how we are splitting the workload to achieve zero-latency ex*****on for Constro Chem's warehouse environments:

1. The "Thinker" (Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210):
We are running a full Debian Linux environment here. This quad-core processor handles the heavy lifting—capturing the camera feed, running our custom TinyML object-detection model via Arduino App Lab, and classifying industrial buckets in real time.

2. The "Reflexes" (STM32U585 Microcontroller):
Running Zephyr OS, this chip does nothing but strict, deterministic I/O.
