Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a NavratnaDefence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID), established by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru to collaborate on innovation and technology development initiatives under BEL’s Corporate Innovation Program (CIP) fostering collaboration with Startups/Academia/MSMEs.

The MoU underscores BEL’s commitment to advancing indigenous technological capabilities in aerospace and defence sectors. By partnering with FSID-IISc, BEL seeks to leverage leading innovation and cutting edge R&D to enhance the country’s strategic and operational capabilities in aerospace and defence. The signing of the MoU highlights BEL’s proactive approach towards engagement of stakeholders and continued commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Consequent to the repatriation of Ms. Kalyani Sethuraman, CVO-BEL, Shri P M Saravanan has taken over the charge for the post of CVO-BEL wef 14.05.2026.

Dr. P M Saravanan, IPoS (2000 Batch) took charge as Chief Vigilance Officer, BEL on 14.05.2026. He is on deputation for 3 years.

Prior to joining BEL, the officer served as General Manager, Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology, Bengaluru, where he was responsible for handling major IT projects of the Department of Posts for a period of five years.

He also headed the data centre operations at the UIDAI Technology Centre, Bengaluru, for five years, thereby gaining rich experience in technology operations, IT infrastructure management, data centre administration, and large-scale mission-critical systems.

In the earlier stages of his career, the officer held important field and administrative assignments. He served as Postal Divisional Head at Nellore, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad. He also held key regional-level positions, including Regional Director, Southern Region, Tamil Nadu, Regional Director, South Karnataka Region and Director HQ, Bengaluru. In addition, he briefly served as Regional Head, South Karnataka Region.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) signed an MoU with BeyonData Solutions Private Limited (BSPL) on May 25 2026, aimed at co-developing and deploying advanced digital transformation solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI).

BEL and BSPL has signed this MoU to address key industry challenges by introducing scalable, technology-driven solutions.

The MoU was exchanged between Mr Rakesh Kumar, GM (Software), and Cmdr. Sanjay Kader, VP, BPSL, in the presence of senior officials from BEL including Mrs Prabha Goyal, ED NM, Mr Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, AGM Civil Mktg, Mr R S Kutiyal, AGM. NM.

The event served as a platform for deep-dive presentations and discussions on niche technologies, highlighting BEL's commitment to cutting-edge innovation.

Smt. Ruchi Pant, GM (Technology Planning), presented the future technological Roadmap of the company.

The session was chaired by the CMD Sh. Manoj Jain, who underscored the importance of R&D in the company's strategic vision, in the august presence of Shri Suresh kumar KV, Director (Marketing), Shri Harikumar R, Director (R&D) . Both the leaders emphasized on importance of R&D & Marketing working together.

The event saw an impressive turnout, with all the R&D engineers from various units joining the sessions virtually to share insights and collaborate on future-technological solutions. Sh. Longjam Siddhartha Singh, Addl Secy & Financial Adviser (Acquisition), MoD, visited the Ghaziabad complex of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) today. He was welcomed by Ms. Rashmi Kathuria, GM(SCCS) & Unit Head, and other SBU heads.

The visit focused on BEL’s indigenous manufacturing and R&D capabilities. The Addl Secy visited key facilities, including Shore integration facility, Software Lab, Radar & Antenna facility and Central Research Laboratory.

During an interaction with senior management, Sh. Singh appreciated BEL’s diversification efforts and shared strategic insights on scaling the company into a globally competitive organization.
