About our Director , Mr.Ramu Ramakrishnan, Leitz Tools
People call him the 'Wood Guru', 'Ramu' Ramakrishnan is a qualified aerospace engineer with a Masters degree in industrial management and research in electrochemistry. In 1979 he joined Mysore Plywoods Bangalore as chief engineer. Later he worked with Hansabras Boden & Osbahr KG, Germany establishing processing factories on turnkey basis in many countries.
In 1988 he restarted HBR Consultants as an offshoot of the earlier Hansabras Boden + Ramu, established in 1983. In 1999 he established Leitz Tooling Systems India Pvt Ltd, and subsequently brought Homag to India. Currently Ramu is Director of Leitz, besides head of the other related companies.

Leitz Tooling Systems India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary company of the world leader Leitz, Germany came into existence in November 1999 at Bengaluru. The centre offers state of the art facility for tool maintenance.

The centre has been created to service woodworking tools, design and manufacture special tools and also stock standard tools. Leitz India will ensure that the industry has the right tooling available ex-stock.
